Not to start another Political thread...

  • But can the endless, juvenile bickering between Mitt and Newt, possibly get anymore ridiculous... and flat out embarrassing to witness? As a citizen... and an educated voter, I've never been more ashamed of American Politics (and Politicians in general). Even if I agreed 100% with either one of them, on their views (which I don't...not even close), I would NEVER vote for Mitt or Newt after watching this pathetic, childish display of what's become"politics as usual". I'm just embarrassed by this whole political circus in America, that we are forced to witness every damn time there's an election campaign. It's sad we can't produce leadership in this country, that we can all be proud of, respect and look up to... God help us. pray

Rick Santorum is the only one who even "attempts" staying focused on the issues... and he's the only one, who's anywhere close, to being consistent. He may be further to the right than I am, but atleast I can respect a man who sticks to his guns... who says what he does and does what he says. We may not agree with him on things, but we sure as hell know what we are getting... and what to expect from a leader like that.

BTW, that was not necessarily an endorsement, but the way it's looking... if I want to exercise my voting rights in this election, then Santorum is my best option.

    I've reached the same point.

I think I'm gonna "write-in" my vote for BigTyrone

Ron Paul has been consistent for over 30 years with zero attempts at contesting his record from anybody, whether the media or other candidates. Just sayin...

I would agree, if he weren't so "inconsistent" on party affiliation... and sentence formation.

  • Yeah but Paul is a complete nut. I don't know how anyone watching him speak doesn't wonder about his sanity. I'm not even talking about his politics, which are also insane. I'm just talking about his jittering blabbering.

This is not how it goes every time.

Four years ago, we had two Democrats compete very hard for the nomination. They generally stayed positive and did not go personal. One won, one lost, and the loser not only campaigned for the winner but has served loyally in his cabinet. That's how it's supposed to be done.

Granted... however, it DID get a little ugly when Bill got involved ( if I remember correctly).

They (Obama and Clinton) were never gonna be too uncivil or outta hand anyway... cuz the establishment, on the left, were (and still are) head over heels with both of them (for different reasons of course). Therefore, I'm quite sure the DNC was adamant about the both of them remaining civil... so not to damage a future presidential run (for either of them). They were already planning the 2016 campaign for loser of that race... before the race was even over.

I'm not complaining or trying to offend anyone... it's just an honest opinion based on my observation at the time. The truth is... it was very smart politics on their part. Their wish may still be on track, to become reality... we shall soon find out.
