  • Anne Coulter endorsed Romney? What in the world? That alone means I would never vote for him for anything.

  • And Romney has picked up another very important endorsement. Christine O'Donnell has given her endorsement to Romney. Her exact quote about Romney, "He's been consistent since he changed his mind". Is it possible for this woman not to say something retarded every time she speaks? The answer is no, no it's not.

  • I know this is 6 weeks old, but what the hell is going on with Perry here? I think he's on ecstacy or something. haha.

Rick Perry's drunken speech (3 minute edit)

Scotch? Roofies? Muscle relaxants? Your guess is as good as mine. The Texas governor is loopy as a jaybird in this New Hampshire address. Great campaign, buddy. http://thumpandwhip.com

  • Here's a really freaking intense and somewhat bizarre campaign ad by Rand Paul. I would have thought it was a joke if I had randomly stumbled upon it. Watch it just so you can see the hilarious spoof by Conan O'Brian (can't believe he's still on the air) I'll post next.

BUDGET CRISIS? NO PROBLEM. JUST CUT A TRILLION DOLLARS IN YEAR ONE.

He really is just a stupid man. Have you seen his latest idiocy? This guy was the front runner when he got in. An evangelical wet dream in an evangelical party. And he's so literally dumb that even they are turning their backs on him. How this man ever became governor of a state is a testament to Texas and the stupid people that reside there. But kudos to the republicans for sending him back under the rock he crawled out of.

Just bad politics. Boehner can't control his caucus.

In his defense those tea party yahoos are pretty uncontrollable. I don't know why we don't call them what they are, Anarchists. They try to hold every single bill and every single idea hostage for leverage. Sure you do that sometimes. That's just politics. But you don't do it every single time and you sure don't do it with middle/lower income paychecks. This has given Obama a boost and I think it will be the straw that breaks the Tea Party's back. These last elections were a rejection of the Tea Party. This debacle is the death blow.

  • Trump drops the republican party in preperation for a possible independent run for president which would all but sew up another 4 years for Obama. I would ask everyone if they think Trump ios serious about running but I'm sure people's opinions would just go with their political leanings. Republicans will say he's not serious. Democrats will say he is serious. Here's the story.

  • I have no doubt he wants to be president, but I don't know if he'll run. Absolutely no way he would win, he'll just further divide the right of center people with yet another controversial figure. I hope he does run.

I think it's all for publicity. Although he has one of the biggest egos in the history of the world. So he might run just to prove that he can. I hope he runs too. Just for the silliness of it. Plus it would only be fair after what Nader did to the Democrats a few years ago. There's a lot of chatter about Ron Paul running as an independent too.

  • In all seriousness if Romney wins Iowa it's game over. I mean imo it's over anyway and has been since the beginning but I just don't see anyone coming back from a Romney victory in Iowa. Especially if a lot of them stay in the race awhile splitting the crazies vote. Not to mention Gingrich won't even be on the ballot in his home state of Virginia. How does that happen? I can understand how it happened to Perry because he got in late. Has no ground game and is a borderline retard. But Gingrich should know how his home state works.

I don't think it's going to be over any time soon. I've read several scenarios of how it could go to the convention.

It looks like what's going to happen in Iowa will result in a three-headed race where nobody has a commanding lead. And you'll have candidates that their sub-constituencies are happy with: Romney with the Republicans who care about winning the election, Santorum with the social conservatives, and Paul with his merry band of idiots. These groups may very well not ever coalesce around one candidate.

It could work out well for the Republicans--they could get to the convention and draft somebody like Mitch Daniels or Chris Christie--or they could end up with somebody who ruins the party forever like Palin or Trump.

    djkycat54906

  • It won't officially be done for awhile. Some will stick around just so they can go to the convention and make a speech. I don't understand your last sentence. Daniels and Christie aren't running. Are you joking?

Not joking--if one candidate doesn't get a majority in the first round, then the delegates are free to vote for somebody else.

I don't think that will happen. If there's not a majority in the first round, I think the delegates will rally to Romney. But it's conceivable that somebody shows up and makes a great case for the nomination.

I've never seen that happen. I didn't think someone that hasn't even run could get the nomination.

I've never seen it either. Unless you're an old sucker, the primaries in our lifetimes have been decided well before the convention and everybody just went along with it. But for most of our country's history, the nominee wasn't decided until the convention. States just got together and selected delegates and it was up to them who to nominate.

    djkycat54906

  • Maybe they should nominate Reagan. I see the baby factory known as the Duggars are endorsing Santorum. I wonder who the Kardashians and Pawn Stars are going with. I need to know. As soon as I typed this I got an ad about who Reagan would pick in 2012. I am not even joking.
