Props to Rand Paul...

  • I'd like to congratulate Sen Rand Paul for taking action and doing the right thing by proposing bold legislation, which would cut off aid to Pakistan until they release Dr. Afridi... something Obama is dancing around. Here's a man who risked the lives of himself and his family to side with America... by assisting our military and the CIA in locating Bin Laden. NOW, he is in a Pakistani prison and Obama has turned his back on him and his family. SMDH

Here's to Rand Paul for proposing what is RIGHT cheers

Sen. Paul to Address Pakistan Imprisonment of Bin Laden Informant

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Sen. Rand Paul announced he will introduce new legislation to address the issue of Pakistan's imprisonment of Shakil Afridi for against Pakistan. Dr. Afridi provided key intelligence to the United States leading to the death of Osama bin Laden. Dr. Afridi risked his own life to help the U.S. military find and kill its most-wanted terrorist.

  • To be fair, Paul wants to cut off aid to everywhere for every reason. This isn't exactly an evolved position for him.

Relationships with Pakistan are extremely tricky. They have the worst government in the world, with the exception of the government that would take over if this one fails. Obama has made them his bitch and now he's got to make them like it. We don't need the most isolationist guy in the Senate throwing his ill-informed opinions into the mix (and this isn't exactly his opinion--Dana Rohrbacher had already introduced a similar bill in the house).

No offense, but if they are really Obama's bitch, then they should gladly release the doctor on Barry's command, so let's see him demand it... we'll find out real quick who the bitch is.

If there's anyone who is Obama's bitch, it's anyone who continues to make excuses for his sorry ass.... again, no offense. wave

  • Pakistan is Obama's bitch? Really? So, the Dr wasn't needed and Obama should have just went straight to the top and demanded the handover and the past 3 years of looking for him could have saved us MILLIONS. Who knew... DWS!

Hell yeah... maybe Romney should offer Rand Paul the Veep side of the ticket. shrug

    Would it help or hurt?

  • Not sure Rand is quite to that point yet. 4 more years though and he will be a force to be reckoned with. Of course if we end up with 4 more of that other guy then Kermit the frog will be a force to be reckoned with.

  • Rand isn't ready yet. I think he would solidify the base and the teaparty but not sure what his impact would be on the centrist. Romney will do well enough with them most likely so a strong conservative would be his best choice, imo.

  • Rand Paul for President. If that ever happens God help us all. He's even crazier than his father and that's saying something. And Twhit anyone can make sense when there's no one there to call him out on what he's saying. He's 9/11 conspiracy believer. He also believes FEMA are setting up concentration camps. He was on Alex Jones. That's all that need be said about this nut. And the tea party is dead btw.

Tell that to Mayor Barrett of Wisconsin.

Btw, it the Tea Party is NOT dead in a Blue State like Wisconsin, what makes you think it's dead anywhere else... especially, a RED one?

Yeah. Bringing up Wisconsin was smart considering they are recalling a tea party Governor. I think it's only the 3rd Governor in American history to be recalled? With his union busting bully tactics he's run Wisconsin into the ground. I do agree this is a perfect example of the tea party being dead though.

"Over the year, nonfarm employment increased in 45 states and the District of Columbia, decreased in 4 states, and was unchanged in Alabama. The largest over-the-year percentage increase occurred in North Dakota (+6.5 percent). The largest over-the-year percentage decrease in employment occurred in Wisconsin (-0.9 percent)."

And Wisconsin is not a beacon of blue state like you seem to believe.

It's so funny (and hypocritical) ... how you hold Walker accountable for any "decrease in employment" since he's been in office, but you NEVER hold Obama accountable for the "increase in unemployment" since HE's been in office. You just continue to slobber all over yourself at every opportunity to kiss Obama's half black ass. SMDH

  • Yeah, sure... go ahead and believe the Tea-party is dead as they just helped to ensure that Walker is not recalled and won his election in WI.

WI Recall a Tea Party Victory

Networks are calling the historic Wisconsin recall for Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch while final vote counts continue to roll in. This victory marks the third time the far left and Big Labor has been defeated at the polls since Obamas idea of how government should work, it was with this election. If ever there was a measure of the muscle of the tea party movement, let it be judged by this election.

Even ABC agrees that Ryan has helped Wisconsin gain jobs this past year. That evil Ryan... bwahahahaha!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of employed workers in December 2011 was higher than the number of employed workers in January 2011. In January, Wisconsin had an employed work force of 2,833,068, while in December it had reached 2,843,199 — an increase of 10,131 – so it is accurate to claim that the state ended the year with a larger employed work force than when the year began.

  • Check out even the uber liberal California is waking up slowly. Both San Diego and San Jose overwhelmingly approved changes to their public union agreements. Sweet! Kudos to the leadership in these towns for making the tough and easy decisions.
