Pujols To Anaheim

  • And they got CJ Wilson. Texas is sweating.

  • Being a cards fan this hurts however I believe management felt they offered what they could. There is no way the cards could afford $250 million over 10 years and I don't think the angels can afford it either, they just don't realize yet. I also don't blame Albert for taking the money, I believe the angels outbid the cards by over $30 million, that is awfully tough to say no too, plus he knows in Anaheim he can be a DH at the end.

So with that I thank Albert for 11 great HOF years and 2 World Series titles.

How are your Cardinals going to do now, BB4L?

You should be happy. Pujols is really like 37 years old. He has already seen his best days. He'll be good but the machine days are over or soon will be. He'll get worse year by year. I don't agree signing anyone for 10 years. 5 years is plenty. Think about all the money you have to play with now. Other than the one phenom game in the playoffs what did Albert do? Nothing. Nothing at all.

to be fair it was his double in the bottom of the 9th in game 6 that sparked the rally. plus he walked and scored in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game again.

  • I still say 10 years is too much. Especially for someone of questionable age and lingering injuries. It will be interesting to see how the Cards spend all that money. I'm surprised the Cubs haven't been more active. I expected Theo to try to make a splash. I guess they're going for the Japanese pitcher. Another dumb move for the Cubs.
