Check out the article I've linked. Apparently Obama isn't killing the coal industry so much as cheap natural gas. Now the republicans love coal and natural gas, especially fracking; for some reason they love everything that pollutes. So what happens when natural gas, which they love, takes over the coal industry, and there's no Obama to blame? Will their heads explode? I hope. Will they just bounce off the walls mutely like a pinball? Will they start blaming natural gas? But how can they blame natural gas for coals demise when there's so much potential to pollute with fracking? What a paradox.

All religion. As a whole. Not just christianity. I like that. I too love Christ's teachings. It's the bastardization of his teachings the church engages in that I dislike. My favorite part was when he went to Hyde Park in disguise to make fun of scientology. I laughed so hard. The music as he's coming in rotfl. Here it is. The hat hahaha

There's nothing about Jesus or trying to follow in his image anywhere. Many get up and preach hate for other religions. They get up and preach for political candidates that have a philosophy that exactly conradicts Christ's teachings. Hypocrits go out, bang everything in sight, party, are assholes, hate homosexuals, hate muslims, hate blacks, hate women, and then go to church every Sunday so they can feel morally superior. Oh and I hate how they find loopholes in the bible or just plain ignore it if it doesn't suit them.

If those are the Christians you encounter, no wonder you feel that way. I don't have anything near that problem where I come from. Granted, you have your people that show up for the business contacts and to "look good," but I've never encountered any churches that preach hate against other religions. I've met "Christians" like that but I'm pretty sure it's not church teaching.

I'm with you on that. Christians are not typically haters. I think the problem lies in the retail vs. wholesale attitudes a Christian might develop.
The vast majority really do love and show compassion for their neighbor whether they be of a different religion or have chosen a different lifestyle--they're great people on a retail basis.
But on the wholesale level, Christians can often be persuaded by group think to develop ugly attitudes towards these same groups they would be compassionate toward on a one-on-one level. Like you, I haven't heard that kind of thinking come from the pulpit. I suspect it comes from quasi-church sources. For instance, we had a supply preacher that used to quote James Dobson all the time. The quotes he used were generally Biblical and inocuous, but it was also a tacit endorsement of Dobson so if you came across some of his incindiary comments about gays, someone might believe it's endorsed by their particular church.
