  • Good God no. That is some of the worst acting I've ever seen in my life. And that's just from the previews!!! lol That Miles guy is horrible. Like painfully awful.

  • i watched the first episode.

I am not going to judge it yet...but here are my issues.

-how does a old guy kill so well? He was getting sword lessons prior to "turning off"? and 15 years later he became an assassin? If he was in early 30s, he would be in mid 40s. He learn to kill so well at that age..?

-how can you have fat person?

-how can you be so clean? And nice clothing....?

-rushing a bit already. Having people with capability to use electricity..?

-young dude...eh what? He made no sense...too much with too little time, i think.

Right now, it feels like it's trying to be too much too quickly. I think it's trying to do what Lost did with it's premiere. That plane crash was crazy, and the aftermath was too. I think they try to one up and, and failed.

  • Just saw the second episode.

Again, really not much to say.

I haven't had "wow" moments yet.

Like Game of throne, first episode the other grabs the guy's hair and chops his head off.

    "DAMNNNN"

So far, none like that yet. No clever quotes yet either, and interactions been kind of weird.

Is the acting as bad as it seemed in the million previews I saw?

  • I think it is pretty good, but I agree that they rushed to have too much happen too soon. I doubt this one will last beyond one season, but I will keep watching to find out. I have to say, though....I am a sucker for "the end of times" type movies and TV shows.

  • Keep in mind, also, that it is being done by JJ Abrams, who typically does really good work and is HIGHLY respected in the industry. In looking at his history, he has directed and/or produced TV shows like Alias, Lost, Fringe and several others, along with movies such as Mission: Impossible III, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Super 8, Star Trek, Cloverfield, etc. This isn't some random, Scy-Fy caliber show. Whether it survives to see a 2nd season will be determined by viewership, but it will not be based on a bad story, effects or acting.

It's hard for me to say. Do people act like this sometimes, i am pretty sure they do.

So far i am not fond of the main character. Actually so far I haven't found any character to be interesting.

But like MJ said it is being done by JJ Abrams. Lost is one of my favorite show....So i am going to watch the whole season, and i will decide on the upcoming season.

  • Never been an Abrams fan. I did like Super 8. Everything else he's done has been big budget crap. Pretty much a Spielberg knock off without the insight, brilliance, or heart.

How do you figure? He is widely respected. Lost was arguably the greatest TV show over made. He is far from just some copycat wannabe hack who just does big budget movies without his personal touch or vision.

  • Today's episode was actually pretty good.

They have to do something about Charlie, however. She still annoys me.

But i am liking the story building around miles. Interested on his development as a character.

Surprised to see them kill off a character so quickly.

  • Yeah, it is definitely getting better with each episode. For whatever reason, they are hell bent on killing off people rather quickly in this show, but I'm curious to learn what the history is with her mom and Miles.

  • I can't understand the negative opinions that some of you guys have about the acting in this show... Charley especially. I think her acting has been great. The main characters are all doing a fine job of acting in my opinion... but what the hell do I know. It's just my opinion.... but I think Revolution is an awesome show. I'm left in suspense every week... and that's the kind of reaction that leads to positive ratings.

Charley is SUPER annoying. SUPER SUPER SUPER ANNOYING!!!!

Revolution has promise, with them focusing more of human development and interaction in chaos condition, i find it much more interesting. Also, how people die signal more realistic situation than some tv show where all the main characters miraculously survive everything.

i just hate one part of it, which is charley...that's all.

While lost was good, I can name a few HBO shows I think are better.

You don't like her "role".... surely, it's not her "acting"? She may play an annoying character, but there's nothing wrong with her acting.

Yes it is. How about that Capone beatdown? That was awesome. You gonna pick on people who can't defend themselves?

I'm ready for his takeover of Torreo's business. Not sure when that will happen, but it should be soon.

Yeah, but I was moreso referring to network TV shows, i.e. from NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox. Shows on HBO, Showtime, etc. tend to have better budgets and production, so it is tough to compare them to shows on the networks. If we are lumping them all in together, though, then I would agree with you. Regardless, Lost was absolutely incredible with how long it lasted, the twists and turns it took, the suspense, the acting and most of the production.

  • For the record... I really enjoyed the second season of Hell on Wheels, but didn't care much for the way it ended.

    Gotcha. I loved lost too.

  • I never got into Lost. It annoyed me. Is it just me or has SOA just become laughingly bad?
