Romney Just Became Disgusting

  • dj-ky-cat said...

So--Obama just should have stopped the Arab spring, right? Things were so much better under Mubarak and Qaadafi. If he were to "re-fund" the freedom push, who exactly would get that money? Al Quaeda?

Perhaps, and there are no promises, there would have been a more organized push to democracy instead of this massive unrest and the massive leadership vacum that we see now. there is no doubt that both Lybia and Egypt are both much more unstable now than they were before the arab spring.

Actually Obama's lead superpac accused Romney of killing a lady. Turns out the claim was false and disgusting.

Source? Show the ad. Although it doesn't really matter. It's a stupid superpac and yes if they did do that it's disgusting. But it's also irrelevant and not even close to what Romney did. It's funny you won't talk about the issue at hand but try to show examples of the other side doing the same thing no matter how ridiculous the comparison is. Pathetic.

And at the time you were complaining Obama wasn't doing enough. Also nothing to do with Romney using dead Americans for political reasons.

No but it's good to know you aren't dead. Or in jail.

  • I used to argue politics like these guys but since I moved to Taiwan with its free health and dental care($20.00 a month) I have determined that both parties are cut from the same criminal cloth.

Their is a reason why more and more Americans are getting out and retiring were you can live well on 1000.00 social security check.

You are being played by both parties.

Some more than others. At least my guys want to have affordable health care and save the social security you're enjoying.

I guess it's a good thing for you that our two criminal parties happen to agree that Taiwan should remain free and independent--and are willing to commit significant resources to further that end. Otherwise, your happy paradise would be the 23rd province of the People's Republic. Your affordable health care system would involve rubbing a little duck grease on where it hurts--and I have a feeling you'd have a different perspective on how criminal a party can be.

  • Protests. No breach, yet. It's very dangerous because of the significant terrorist element in Yemen. If some quasi-military group, Al Quaeda or their offshoot, uses the protest to cover an attack on the embassy, as apparently happened in Libya, there could be another disaster.

Actually it was breached and they set one of the buildings on fire.

Further. What exactly (specific words) were wrong with romney's remarks? The fact that he was outraged like many american's that we a statement was issued trying to appease and apologize for some idiot in California is who released a homemade racist and anti Islamic film? When will people realize that you can't negotiate or appease radical military Islamists? Or radical military idiots of any kind? That's the issue. And it's fair to point it out.

Now we have another embassy that has been breached. It's a delicate line to walk but peace through strength has a proven track record of working. Appeasement with radicals never works. They don't think logically.

    hoptownukfan

  • Romney showed leadership in his initial response unlike the pussy POTUS who does nothing but appease the radical islamist.

The same idiots we are giving money to are condoning the attacks(Muslim Brotherhood, Libya, Egypt, etc...) we should not be apologizing for our Freedom of Speech or our beliefs. They were screaming "We are all Bin Laden!" IF you believe this is because of some stupid horribly scripted and acted movie that nobody has seen you are #FlukedByObama. He has shown weakness and his apologetic tour around the globe has allowed these groups and other nations to capitalize on our perceived weakness. Just like Clinton showed weakness and allowed OBL and AlQaida to know they could attack us these new groups are doing the same.

Obama has time to campaign left and right but only attends 43% of his daily security meetings. The CIA had no intel on this because Obama told them to relax that these new groups from the "Arab Spring" would be our friends. Yeah, how's that looking now?

You all knock Romney no matter what he does. Obama came out and basically said the same thing as Romney only 8 hours later.

  • And the latest turn is that it turns out that the Arabic translation of the film distorted the actual purpose and messages of the movie. The distorted translation and re/release of the move was done in a way that changed the original version of the film.

  • In Sana, the capital of Yemen, witnesses said government security forces tried to disperse a crowd at the fortified American Embassy compound in the eastern part of the city. But protesters succeeded in breaking through an outer perimeter protecting the embassy, clambering over a high wall and setting fire to a building

The main thing that was wrong is that he's either lying or mis-informed. The statement that was made was before any breach of the embassy--the protest was peaceful at the time.

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims _ as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions,"

I see very little difference in sentiment from this statement:

'We find them offensive, and we certainly understand why Muslims would find these images offensive.'' which is what Bush said about the Danish cartoon riots and violence.

The other thing wrong is that he's condemning our leadership in a time of national crisis. Doing so at all is a breach of decorum. Doing so without all the facts is both dangerous and unpatriotic.

Here's what mccain said this morning. Perhaps the most level headed person in this entire process...

In terms of Bush's statement and the embassy's statement. You need to work on your reading compreshension. The embassy in Cairo (why are they tweeting?) said "we condemn effots to offend believers of all religons".

There is a huge difference between that and what bush said.

Bush said it's offensive. That's different than singling out one video and condemning and condemn the speech of people.

What should have happened is simple. Once there was unrest, send a group to the head of police/military in cairo and demand that they disperse the protesters away from the compound. Instead they tried to tweet diplomacy and convince irrational thinkers of something. The only way to deal with people who are as irrational as these people is with force. not deadly, but force them away from the embassy. Don't hope that they read a tweet.

In terms of what statement should have come out during the process? Simple. "The United STates of America does not support the slander or degrenation of any religon, however we do stand by our principals of freedom of speech. While we may not agree with the sentiment of those who say outrageous or racist things we do allow this discourse in our society. We also support the right of Egyptians and all people to peacfully protest. We ask that you respect our rights as we respect yours to peacefully protest". After the statement is released demand that the Egyptian government protect our embassy.

As it turns out, it wasn't American's who changed the video. It was actually Egyptians who took the video and distorted the translation to make it appear to be offensive to Muslims...

President Obama made a sport of questioning our national security policies in 08. He took advantage of 8 soldiers dying in an interview questioning national security policy. THat's his right. Personally, i agreed with obama. Why were we in Iraq in the first place?

I agree with Romney and McCain this time. Why have we weakened our presence and left American's unprotected in these countries? Why does our policy now seem to favor creating leadership vaccums in incredibly unstable areas of the world?

  • Let's be realistically clear here... Romney is nowhere near perfect. He makes mistakes, makes dumbass remarks and feeds us a lot of bullshit... just like ALL politicians do. The problem with our electoral system is... after all the "Dirt" settles from the long, drawn out, dishonest, filth infested, sleazy funded, corrupt campaigns finally come to a dismal end... those of us, who wish to vote, are left with only 2 sad choices - "Bad" or "Worse". Now, we must find the inner strength to muster up the motivation required to drag our sorry asses out to a voting booth... and once again, roll the devilish dice.

Carl... you and I can agree on many things about Romney that are no good. However, you and I could NEVER agree that Obama is any better... or is, in any way, the better choice. As stated above... we either vote for "bad" or we vote for "worse". In this case, I think Obama is MUCH worse... so I am forced to vote for the other shithead. It's one of the many "sad truths" we are forced to accept... here in our beloved "Divided States of America".

Btw... many of us would never "vote" together, but when the voting is over... we can sure as hell "drink" together! cheers

If I heard this ignorant, biggoted, untrue, stupid nonsense being spewed out of some slackjawed ugly mouth there's no way I could stop myself from pummelling the person. Then I'd go to jail. And jail sucks. So I think ahead and don't partake.

There is no debate. Romney is scum. I was venting anger about a disgusting human being politicizing on the death of Americans. Not looking for debate.

I don't recall Obama calling Romney a murderer. In fact I don't recall anyone calling Romney a murderer. I must have missed that one. It's pretty irrelevant to this situation.

Of course you don't. That's what seperates Republicans from Dems, we are informed, Dems take the lies by the Obama admin to heart without research.

Here are a couple lies that even a liberal can research and find the facts they hate so much:

Lie 1) "GM is back on top" from Obama, and it is false. Do your research.

Lie 2) "Romney killed a lady by cutting her healthcare" from Obama superpac, and it is false. Do your research.

Lie 3) "We created 4.5 million jobs", from Obama, and the actual number over his 4 years is 300,000. And fewer people are working today than when he took office. (Check the CNN fact checker on this one.)

Lie 4) "We need to get the lobby groups out of Washington" said by Obama when running for Pres and he followed it up by using the most in the history of the White House. Do your research.

Lie 5) "They gonna put ya'll back in chains!". An obvious attempt by the dems to sell hate, which is their specialty. Biden has never used the word "ya'll" or attempted to speak in a southern tone before. When the Dems agenda faulters, they always fall back on selling hate!

I could do this all day because I use my own mind and research the B.S. Dems follow on blind faith alone. Dems are hate filled, dishonest, lazy clowns that need a bath, an education, and a job so I can stop carrying their dead weight on my back.

Enjoy your life of pure ignorant bliss.

HA! that's a funny thought... but may I just settle for the job as referee? I'm too damn exhausted and therefore, not foolish enough to test my stamina or durability in some sort of fight club.

Having said that, I can easily be provoked... against my will of course. flex
