Sad to see him go...he came down to Georgia while I was stationed there on a USO tour and was a super nice guy. I got to drive him around on base. Unlike anybody else that came in, he actually came back to our shop and posed for some pictures with us transportation guys. He really was a class act.

Its funny how people who are so recognized for a specific role can't escape it. This guys real name doesn't fit him near as well George Jefferson. Just like I always think of Jeff Bridges as "The Dude." Mark Paul Gosseler will always be Zach Morris. Mario Lopez will always be AC Slater to me.

To put it in another time slot - James Arness will always be Matt Dillon, Raymond Burr - Perry Mason, and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver.
