Oh I think the intensity will stay and even rev up. The Governor is coming for them and he's pissed. The way he sees it they came into town just to kill him and his daughter. I just hope Andrea finally dies. She won't but I hope. Apparently the black guy with that new group is a main character in the comics. The new redneck white prisoner in the group just seems too nice to be true. In the previews I noticed little blonde hottie kissing Rick on the cheek. Could be nothing. Could be something. They still have Daryl. They don't give a shit about Merle but they'll go back for Daryl. Things are gonna get bloody and that's always a good thing.
An afterthought. Why didn't Michonne just kill him with her sword instead of choking him with the sheath? That was just dumb and not believable. I mean dumb on the writer's part. I don't know why they'd write something so dumb and unrealistic.

Hey Carl, I just took a look at the other boards for the 1st time and saw this thread. The Walking Dead is my favorite show on cable. The Gov got what he deserved and the next series of episodes should be killer. The chick w/the sword is bad and I love her character. This show has done some things other shows havent and that includes killing off regular characters at a frequent interval and now a new group of survivors make their debut. The blond who is taken with the gov. will really be in for a shocker when she sees the "marauders" who attacked the town. I think Merle and Darrell team up in the end and helps Rick and the others in that group. Just thought I would put my 2 cents worth in on this show. Great thread.

Have you ever wondered, what it would be like if Walking Dead was on HBO?
Where the line is a bit higher than AMC.
For example, i can't understand why Michionne was so intent on killing the Governor, and reading some review there are more reason to it than what we saw on the show.
I am not saying making it more HBO like will make the show better, but i was wondering about that the other day. When writers basically have the freedom to do whatever they want.

No question Darryl will come back into the fold. Its just a matter of when and how. I have not read any of the books and have made it a point to avoid spoiler fansites, as I like the idea of going week to week with anticipation of what might happen, but if I had to guess I would say Merle will likely end up making one last heroic act for the greater good that will save his brother (Darryl) and the rest of Rick's group. I bet Merle is the one who ends up taking out the governor.
As for Tyrese, I have heard he is apparently a big figure in the books, so I have no doubt that he will become a part of the group. The question is how many of his current group will be welcomed in with him, how long will it take, how, etc.
My #1 frustration with Rick right now is how he seems to forget that Herschel and his family took Rick's group in when they could have easily told them to get the hell away from the farm. I know it took some time and they were forced to sleep outside at the risk of being attacked by walkers, but at the end of the day Herschel's group took in Rick's group to form one big group in the interest of safety in numbers. Why Rick now insists on refusing to let any others into their collective group, especially when it is people like Tyrese and Michonne who would bring desired skills to the group, is beyond me. I can get being EXTREMELY hesitant to bring in someone like Merle (even though I think he will ultimately be the one to save the group from the governor), but his continued refusal with everyone else is getting a bit silly. I'm sorry, but in the event of a zombie apocolypse, I would want security in numbers....especially when those numbers include more muscle and the equivolent of a female samurai warrior.

What has Rick so pissed off at Michonne and the others as well? I know that story line is kind of on pause right now but she could help the group and she wants the governor dead worse than anyone. Not to mention that she might be the best warrior of the group. They need to be more trusting of her. She's really done nothing but try to stay alive in a crazy freaking world and try to kill the lunatic governor. What else has she done thats been so wrong?

I just hate that Tyrese is now in cahoots with the governor. Worse mistake Rick has made so far is to let them go. And he's made a lot of mistakes that have gotten a lot of people killed. At the same time he's done whats right the vast majority of the time also so its hard not to respect the guy.
The fact that its person against person is sort of turning me off of the show. The fight they are fighting is clearly not worth it. The governor is a freaking psycho. The prison is not really secure. I don't see why they don't just try to get far far away from that town and the governor. I understand they are tired of running but they've got kids to think about.
