The Walking Dead

  • the show isn't really about Zombie as much as how people react differently in end-of-the-world situation.

It's about people that makes it a popular show, actually.

I think the problem right now is our main Character has gone psycho mode, and many times you start questioning the group in general. It's hard to love the show when you have hard time loving either group, i think.

  • The drama makes it popular. And the fact that you get to envision how you might react if you were put in that situation. The bravery and courage the characters show and the struggle to hang on to what makes them human(common decency, love, respect for life, etc). To me thats the draw of the show. I find myself at times strangely envious of the group. How they work together, the work they do just to survive. It takes you back to a simpler time. A time when people didn't alway have their nose in a computer or phone. When people relied on each other to survive. I told you it was strange. lol.

  • One thing has been driving me nuts for a while with the group at the prison. Why don't they go out to the fence every day and just go down the line killing walkers in the face with spears, knives, arrows, etc.? Instead, they keep letting them congregate around the fence. They have killed plenty of them through the fence since arriving at the prison, so we know they can do it and realize they can do so in relative safety. I would send a couple of group members out there for some face-killing in shifts every day. There can only be so many walkers in the area of a rural Georgia prison. Kill enough of them every day and you eventually find yourself in relative safety (from the walkers, anyway).

I just hate that Tyrese is now in cahoots with the governor. Worse mistake Rick has made so far is to let them go. And he's made a lot of mistakes that have gotten a lot of people killed. At the same time he's done whats right the vast majority of the time also so its hard not to respect the guy.

The fact that its person against person is sort of turning me off of the show. The fight they are fighting is clearly not worth it. The governor is a freaking psycho. The prison is not really secure. I don't see why they don't just try to get far far away from that town and the governor. I understand they are tired of running but they've got kids to think about.

Kind of hard for them to make a run to a new location with a one legged man on crutches and a baby that cries every couple hours to draw attention of any near by zombies.

Thy clearly should be doing something to strengthen the fence and perimeter defenses though. They've gotten sloppy and lazy it seems. Killing zombies through the fence is a no brainer but then again, it's just a tv show

  • I find this show interesting....

because recently, i find Rick's group to be just as bad as Governor's group. Didn't rick basically have the backpack guy killed? Little confused with that action, why different?

Governor seems more welcoming, not that he actually is. He is faking it hardcore, but if you were truly loyal, wouldn't he actually allow to live peacefully?

Also, is Rick's sanity back yet or is he still close to melt down?

Yeah, I think the whole point of the show is to explore, or show, how good people would act or change in a time like this. Deep down everyone in Rick's group is a good person, but they know they have to make some tough choices. A prime example was the backpack guy. In crazy times like that, you can easily imagine that people would set a trap by having someone act desperate or stranded, begging for help when a car passes. Then, the moment you stop to help their group comes out of the woods and either kills you all or just steals your car, leaving you there stranded. You also don't know if the guy has been bitten and may change or what. As tough as it would be, you 100% absolutely have to keep driving like they did. The only kicker is when he comes running down the road several miles later, still begging you to help, at that point you have to reconsider and realize yeah, it probably wasn't a trap. The question is, do you stick with your small group or welcome strangers into the group when all they will do is use up more of your resources?

  • HOLY SHIT, what an episode!!!! Wow. Just wow.

    mjdotson

  • Yeah, didn't exactly see that coming until he let her out of the car. The writing was on the wall after that.

  • To M*********

    Shot governor first...

great strategy...poor execution. Start from the back, and go up. If you kill the back they turn zombie, creating awful situation for the team...also, with all the gun shooting and struggle. He could of wiped out the whole squad.

    Sigh....

  • Good season finale, but I was a bit disappointed they didn't have a big "HOLY SHIT!" moment at the end. I don't know why one of those 2 guys didn't take out the Governor out on the road or in the truck, either. Bad move.

    mjdotson

  • I don't know what the hell is going to happen with the governor now. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him. I don't know what those two idiots were doing not taking his ass out on the road either. Just shoot the moron in the head. And especially don't get in the truck with the lunatic. Andrea got on my nerves but I didn't want to see her go out like that. All in all it was a great season finale.

  • I think the MOST interesting thing i saw was how Carl is evolving.

And it's in a BAD way.

I think Next season governor will come back attacking the prison. I think he will have an army of some sort again. However, the most interesting topic will be how Carl develops into adulthood.

Right now, there is a possibility that Carl might end up being bad, where rick and Carl faces off each other.
