Type 2 Diabetes ...

You are right about that Brad.... alcohol is not good for a diabetic. Once I get it under control... a couple of drinks every once in a while won't hurt. I think there may be some lite beers on the market for diabetics... not really sure about that though.

It would be better not to drink at all, but the super light beers (MGD64 and Bud 55) are a lot dryer than regular beer, meaning that there aren't many residual sugars that haven't turned into alcohol. That in turn means that you won't be wasting precious sugars on anything but the buzz. It would still probably be better to avoid it altogether, but an MGD64 every once in a while won't kill ya!

Yeah man, we definitely hit the museum... fascinating as hell. It was cool driving through base too (at Quantico) and showing my son the barracks I lived in, the MP Station, our patrol areas and the Gates I stood guard at. It brought back great memories.

Yeah I went back to Parris Island with the family on our way to Disney World a couple years ago. My son was in complete awe of the place. I got to take just the wife down this past March and I took her onto Starlight rifle range (I worked on Chosin) and got to show her what I did. We got to tour the ISMT and MTU where the ISMT used to be. We also went to a graduation and she got to see how things were ran properly, as she was a squid. I love that place and I would move back to Beaufort in a second.
