What's wrong with our government

  • Well, there's a lot wrong with it, but that's a rant for another day.

I don't have any loyalty at all to either political party, although I certainly share more ideals with one than the other.

Look at the overlap (the green and black graphic) between these Goldman Sacchs employees and Federal officials, mostly who have served under President Obama.

After you look at the graphic, look at the "Controversies" section on the GS wikipedia page which I'll link below.

  • This just reassures my belief that, the only party who honestly has America's best interest at heart and can be trusted with our tax dollars... is the "TEA" Party. biggrin

  • The Government is just a reflection of the population. If you want to see what's wrong with the Government/America look at the people around you and in the mirror. That's the major problem in this country. US!

  • from an outside perspective looking in (and admittedly not an informed viewpoint) I think your problems stem from your political process with all these lobbyists and big companies taking a lot of control of your government but like I said I don't know much, just the impression I get

  • The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men. -Plato

The problem is that too many Americans pay zero attention to the affairs of the government. They allow evil people to gain power and don't do their due diligence in making sure they do what is best for us. They think because representative x brings in $$ to their town or gives them handouts that they are good to re-elect. The failure of the school system to teach the Constitution, what capitalism truly is, and how the dirtbags in power have corrupted it and twisted it into cronyism is the true problem.
