There was no winner in Kentucky's quarterback derby but that didn't mean there was nothing to talk about after the Wildcats' first scrimmage of training camp.
The Cats had a long, no-frills live scrimmage at Commonwealth Stadium on a glorious mid-August day, completing the first full week of camp. With just 22 days remaining before the season opener at Louisville plenty of work remains.
"It was an old school scrimmage, 140-something plays that we just wanted to put the ball down and get as many snaps as we possibly could," Kentucky coach Joker Phillips said.
