Tweet Talk: Future Cats eye No. 9

After watching Kentucky's ultra-talented group of mostly freshmen and sophomores bring home national championship No. 8, the newest crop of Wildcats already has their eyes on No. 9.

Noel posted this pic of he and Anthony Davis during his official visit to UK over the weekend.

The Cats' quartet of incoming freshmen, Nerlens Noel, Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress and Willie Cauley-Stein, haven't been shy about making their intentions known to the Big Blue Nation via Twitter.

Shortly after announcing his decision live on ESPNU, Noel, the top-ranked recruit in the country, took to Twitter with the first salvo.

@NerlensNoel3 #BBN yall ready to get #9 ?!?!

But ESPN's panel of experts weren't as quick to buy in, saying that UK coach John Calipari should be national coach of the year if he gets this squad back to the Sweet 16 next season. It didn't take long for Noel, Goodwin and Poythress to respond to the perceived slight.

@NerlensNoel3 Its all Motivation #BBN !! #Fuel2TheFire

@AlexTheGreat22 Time to prove the doubters wrong! #motivation

@A1Laflare10 Them espn critics can say what they please but guess what. They not playing the game. We gone show the world!

On his official visit to UK over the weekend, Noel continued his Twitter hit parade with a familiar theme, hitting Keeneland before stopping by UK's Blue-White Spring Game at Commonwealth Stadium.

@NerlensNoel3 #3 or #9 lol ... Those horses look like winners

@NerlensNoel3 Keeneland was crazy, #9 won which is a good sign #BBN haha. Now im to the football game

But if UK is to successfully defend its title next season, adding the nation's No. 1 power forward to the mix certainly couldn't hurt. And once again, the UK signees have taken to Twitter to do their part in recruiting Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep's Anthony Bennett.

@NerlensNoel3 Lets gooo @ABennett24 !! The #BBN got love for u kid, lets get #9 !

@AlexTheGreat22 @ABennett24 #ABennett24toUK !!! We need ya!

@A1Laflare10 @ABennett24 come join the movement bro!

Adding Bennett, a burly 6-foot-7 banger with a feathery outside shooting touch, would be the perfect complement to round out the Cats' current roster and would go a long way in backing up some of the Twitter talk.

In preparation for next season, Cauley-Stein has already signified a change in his Twitter handle.

@WCS15timefor9 new twitter name @WCS15timefor9 for all the BBN!! #wildcatfam
